In this new column, I’ve expanded my women’s A-Z Trend Guide into affordable kids fashion! Every week, I’ll share ways you can translate the hottest runway trends for your pint size fashionista.
For the first week of A-Z Kids, we’re starting at the beginning. A is for… Army Chic! I was introduced to Niki and her four-year-old daughter Zoe on Instagram (they’re @niklin). Every week, they tagged their photos with #sstrendguide and I could not get over how adorable Zoe looked in the trends I was showcasing on my blog and YouTube! So I asked them to style three military looks for the season…
Vest: Old Navy / Shirt: H&M / Pants: Zara /Shoes: Zara
Pattern play is all the rage. And combining stripes with leopard (aka U is for Unleashed) is a great way to do the trend. The army vest tones down prints. And I love how this look showcases a great trick for kids: if a belt is too long for your little girl, just knot it!
Vest: Old Navy / Top: H&M / Skirt: Gap / Shoes: Zara
For this last look, Zoe combined Army chic with the I is for Intellectual Prep trend. Layering a graphic tee over a collared shirt adds an instant cool factor. If it’s colder where you live, your little girl could easily swap the shorts for a pair of jeans or even black leggings.
Jacket: Gap / Shirt: H&M / Tee: Nordstrom / Shorts: H&M / Clutch: Target / Shoes: Zara
