The biggest fashion statement at the 75th Annual Golden Globes was black. I loved how women rocked black on the red carpet to stand in solidarity. When it came to accessories, the Time’s Up pin was most prominent, pinned on actresses and actors alike.
My favorite red carpet trend at the Globes is a super easy one to do at home: Black Bows.
I first noticed a black hair bow when Christina Hendricks arrived to the Golden Globes in a fabulous Christian Siriano created. She did double bows, attaching them to her updo. Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink also wore a black bow on her low ponytail. And at the after parties, Kaley Cuoco tied her high ponytail with a black lace ribbon. As the actresses showed, it’s a trend that works for all women, from their teens to their 40s and 50s.
The easiest way to do the trend is with a ribbon. I shared my tips here. You can also buy hair bands that come with attached bows. I linked to a few below.

Bows were also used to bedazzle gowns on the Golden Globes red carpet. Naomi Cambell was one of favorite looks of the night and I was in awe of the crystal bow embellishment on Dove Cameron’s Monique Lhuillier gown.
I rounded up a few black bow dresses below but I prefer the ease of a top. You can pair a black bow blouse with black pants (so many actresses rocked black pants at the Globes!) or wear it with jeans for a more casual look.

And I can’t talk about Globes without chatting about Oprah. If you missed the award show you have to watch her speech on YouTube. It was so inspiring! I leave you with just one of her many incredible quotes of the night…
