The Staple: High-Waist Flare Jeans
When I’m at fashion week, I’m often inspired by trends I’m seeing on the runway for next season. One was graphic black and white, an easy look to translate to every day life. I did a similar variation to this outfit from last year, adding my Bobbi Brown Atomic Orange on my lips for a splash of color.

The Staple: High-Waist Flare Jeans
I just couldn’t get enough of my leopard top as a staple, so I brought it with me to New York to wear at fashion week. Paired with a red blazer and flare jeans it was the perfect piece to transition from morning shows to afternoon meetings. The color and print pairing made the conservative silhouette fashionable enough for the tents. And you can never go wrong when you add a statement necklace.

My last day of New York Fashion Week I had a major America’s Next Top Model moment. I got to walk in a fashion show! I spent the day getting made over with my fellow bloggers for Polyvore Live presented by Covergirl. It was such a blast and I’m so grateful that blog allows me to have moments like these. Not only did I enjoy the thrill of strutting my stuff for two talented designers, I made some fabulous friends along the way.

The Staple: High- Waist Flare Jeans
One of the more intimidating trends for spring is the midriff. While it’s no big deal for a model to expose her stomach on the runway it’s a whole different story in real life. The trick to making the trend work is to only let a slip of skin show… and keep your belly-button covered!

I must admit I was nervous stepping out in the style while at New York fashion week. But I grew confidence toward the end of the evening. What do you think about the trend? Would you wear it?
