Staple of the Week: Striped Maxi Dress

(Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Olivia Wilde)

Stripes are trendy are year-round. And while a maxi dress might make you think of summer, styled correctly you can easily wear the trend from winter into spring. I’m obsessed with the ‘90s feel of florals and stripes together, so I’ll be styling my Juicy dress three ways this week. But I found other affordable alternatives, too:

1. Juicy Couture, $428
2. Free People, $248 $74
3. T by Alexander Wang, $320 $112
4. Ella Moss, $148

3 Fresh Fall Looks With The Coach Legacy Collection

In the fashion world, everything old is new again. And Coach is right on top of the trends with their new Legacy Collection.  The cross-gender line of bags, accessories, apparel, footwear, jewelry and more is inspired by iconic style and classic silhouettes. I chose three of my favorite shoes to create fresh fall looks for every occasion:

The Sue Heel
A snake embossed heel will never go out of style. The rich praline color lengthens the leg. And it works oh so well with fall’s most popular hue: burgundy.

T by Alexander Wang merlot dress, Banana Republic leopard belt, Kendra Scott Natasha necklace, Coach New Madison Leather Isabelle, Topshop A-line trench

The Sondra Bootie
You can never go wrong with a classic leather bootie. The silver pushlock closure was inspired by the Coach archives. For a modern look, pair it with sparkly peplum and skinny leather for a night out.

Topshop sequin peplum top, Karl Pacey faux leather pants, House of Harlow 1960 Rey bag, Forever 21 teardrop studs, rope chain bracelet, curb chain bracelet and woven chain bracelet

The Dorothy Wedge Boot
A tall boot is a cold-weather must. For shorter girls, like me, a wedge is heaven-sent, especially one with a rubber sole! Tuck in a pair of skinny jeans, add layers on top and carry a statement satchel for a stylish day of errands.

J. Crew polka dot sweater, Topshop denim shirt, Koral skinny jeans, Legacy Rory satchel, Forever 21 rhinestone necklace, Ray Ban original wayfarer

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Coach but all opinions are my own.

Staple of the Week: Floral Print Jeans

Yes, I already did a week of floral jeans in the Staples Series. But the print is so popular, and so many of you had questions on how to wear the trend, I figured why not do another week?

1. Joe’s Jeans, $179
2. Citizens of Humanity, $209
3. Alexander Wang, $395
4. J Brand, $203

Stay tuned to see how I style my Citizen’s of Humanity jeans three ways in this week’s Staples Series!

ttF Blogger Staple: College Fashionista’s V-Neck Tee

If you’re ever curious what the latest fashion trends are on campuses across the country, all you have to do is log on to College Fashionista. Amy Levin founded the website after graduating from Indiana Univerisity and now runs it with her diverse style gurus. When it comes to her own style, Amy is incredibly chic. Just take a look how she did one basic tee three incredibly cool ways.

The Staple: V-Neck off-White Shirt

Who Makes It: T by Alexander Wang

Why I Chose It: I live in T by Alexander Wang’s basics and this T in particular is oversized, worn in and perfect for any occasion I may have.

Where I’d Wear It: The first photo I am wearing my T by Alexander Wang basic with Blank Leather Pants, a Zara leather/blazer combo coat and Alexander Wang heels. I would wear this outfit grabbing dinner with friends or attending a casual event during the week. In the second photo I am wearing my T by Alexander Wang basic with a Topshop leather shirt, vintage robe, Urban Outfitters fedora and Maison Martin Margiela shoes. I would wear this outfit to a business meeting for CollegeFashionista. The third photo I am wearing my T by Alexander Wang basic with Textile by Elizabeth and James jeans and a vest from London (don’t remember where I got it) and Topshop shoes. I would wear this outfit running errands or at my office when blogging.
