The Staple: Leopard Long-Sleeve Top
Leopard is the perfect way to add a little pizazz to comfy looks. Plus, since the print is a neutral, it’s okay to mix spots. Today I kept to a subdued palette and added a touch of gold and my over-the-knee boots that I absolutely love. On a side note: can you believe this sweater is from Costco?!

Colorblock Craze

The Staple: Bright Cable Knit Sweater
If you’ve been a regular reader of my blog, you know that I adore colorblocking. I’m constantly thinking of fresh new combos I can wear. For spring, neon is huge. So I wanted to incorporate this new necklace I bought into the mix. I love the way it pops against orange and purple. While I usually advise sticking to 2-3 colors max when doing the colorblock trend, I broke the rules today by adding a coral pump. It’s a little crazy but certainly made my day extra bright.

ttF Fashion Staple: Tortoise Necklace
Inspired by my camel monochromatic outfit, I did a similar one-color palette using deeper neutrals. It was pure luck that I happened to have a sweater that went perfectly with this metallic maxi skirt! Since I was going to be on my feet all day, I slipped into comfy cowboy boots and finished off the look with some tortoise, topaz and leopard.

ttF Fashion Staple: Cropped Faux Fur Vest and Flat Black Boots
Earlier in the week I mixed black and blue. For a gorgeous NYC day, it was black and brown. Some say the duo doesn’t work together but I think it combines beautifully. The trick is in the print. Leopard prints and tortoise accessories make the neutrals flow together.

ttF Fashion Staple: Wine Velvet Jeans
When getting dressed for a photo shoot, I usually like to wear tops that I can easily get on and off as to not ruin my hair and makeup. For Style Coalition’s MNG by Mango for JCPenney shoot in Barcelona I went for a preppy look with a floral button-down, sweater vest and blazer. Here are some sneak peeks of the day. I can’t wait to share the final product of the MNG by Mango Mission in November!
