Every awards season, I swoon over the floral organza gowns that float down the red carpet. But since most of don’t have the chance to dress like an ethereal princess in every day life, a flower appliqué top is the next best thing. Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends Bold Black & White

I fell in love with the Gianfrance Ferre dress Anne Hathaway wore to the Critics’ Choice Awards so I’m thrilled there are similar variations in the works aside from the Alice + Olivia one Amber Tamblyn and Khloe Kardashian sported over the summer. At last week’s Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party, Desperate Housewives’ Andrea Bowen also hopped on the trend with a zig-zag strapless. And I cannot wait to see which celebrity will wear Marchesa’s cutout rose creation on the red carpet!

Harry Winston Micro-Pave Diamond RingLast night my best friend and I watched Bride Wars. Anne Hathaway looked gorgeous, like usual, Kate Hudson was adorable but the movie is nothing to write home about. Nonetheless, it put us in marital mode and we spent the rest of the evening looking at wedding dresses and engagement rings online. My favorite is, and has been for years, Harry Winston’s Micro-Pavé Diamong Ring. It’s a cushion cut diamond in a micro-pavé setting. Hey, a girl can dream, can’t she?
