ttF Fashion Staples Month #16 Summary: April Colorblock
 April flew by so quickly. And, thanks to my staples, it was a flurry of color. I went to Palm Springs to cover Coachella for Express, had an impromptu trip to Vegas, styled two major shoots and launched two new features on my blog: ThinkThruBeauty Thursday and the ttF Blogger Staples Series.

My colorblocked brights put a smile on my face every step of the way.

ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Dress
For my last outfit using April’s ttF Fashion staples, I went with a similar look as to the one I styled when I first spotted this colorblock dress. In a Mystyle 3-Way, I showed how to wear brights at night by dressing up the dress with black and gold. Instead of a necklace like I used in the episode, I accessorized with a studded belt. I also mixed in cream bangles with the darker colors. I’m honestly bummed April is over. I could have easily worn these colorful staples for another 30 days!

ttF Day to Night: Turquoise Necklace

You’ve already seen how I wore my Cameron Diaz-inspired color combo for day. But when the sun set and it was time to go to dinner, all I needed were new accessories. First, I swapped my ballet flats for some more bold color at my feet. Then, I brought in black with a Marc Jacobs bag I borrowed from my mom and a mix of black and gold bangles. If only everything was as easy as this day to night switch.

ttF Fashion Staple: Turquoise Necklace
I recently received this top from Nally & Millie and it’s probably the most comfortable item of clothing I’ve ever owned. It has two layers: a fitted tank and a roomy tunic. The lightweight material is perfect for a full day of shopping. And what a full day it was! I can’t wait to show off my new purchases on ThinkThruFashion. Although I love my April ttF Fashion Staples I’m getting excited for May.
