Orange & Navy

The Staple: Bright Cable Knit Sweater
One of my favorite colors to pair with orange is navy. Over the summer, I mixed prints with the combo but today kept with solids. When tucking a cable knit sweater into a pencil skirt, you want to make sure the waist is very fitted. If it’s not, you can do what I did, and use a ribbon in matching color to cinch your middle. I originally planned on a tan shoe until these periwinkle beauties came in the mail! The pastel gives the look a more unique feel—plus, it’s a major trend for spring.

The Staple: Bright Cable Knit Sweater
A cable knit sweater can instantly transition your summer wardrobe into winter. Simply layer the sweater over a dress to turn it into a skirt, like I did with this Parker floral one. Add tights, boots and a jacket. I went with denim for a more casual look. With so many layers you don’t need much accessorizing. Right now, I’m loving the dainty ring trend, so I slipped on a couple of gold pieces.

Pink Prep

The Staple: Neon Pink Blouse
One of my fave styles in the past year has been the buttoned-up-to-the-neck blouse/sweater/statement necklace combo. It’s preppy yet fashion forward at the same time. And I love how a necklace like this one can dress up casual jeans and cable knit cashmere. To make the neon of my blouse really pop, I kept to a neutral color palette for the rest of the outfit. And a top knot was the perfect solution to a bad hair day.

ttF Fashion Diary: Happy New Year

ttF Fashion Staple: Bejeweled Peep Toes
I really adored the vintage dress I wore last New Year’s Eve. So I went for a similar long-sleeve mini look to ring in 2012. It was a major steal considering I had been eying this Dolce & Gabbana one for ten times the price! On a normal night, I would simply wear a pair of earrings with the dress. But for celebratory sparkle I accessorized with a rhinestone necklace and my fave rose gold and silver ring. I had so much fun hosting cocktails at my apartment, before dancing the night away at Colony with close friends. Hope all of you had a fabulous NYE too!

ttF Fashion Staple: Bejeweled Peep Toes
Before I had to return this clutch I borrowed for my FOX shoot, I took it out for a little fashion twirl. This is outfit is all about mixing it up from the leopard and polka dot prints to the casual denim and dressy crystals. A cool color palette of blush, gray and silver ties it all together.
