audrey – Sydne Style

Inspired By: Hilary Duff in Vanessa Bruno

Even though I’ve worn my orange jacket three times this week, I haven’t grown tired of it. So when I saw this pic of Hilary Duff, I had to recreate the look. Hilary is a fan of wearing fashion staples multiple ways, too! (Click here to see what else she paired with her blazer). For a more polished look, I did a button-down instead of a ripped top. And to lengthen my legs, I skipped the white heels and went with nude flats. Plus, I’ve never been a fan of cut-offs with pumps anyway.

Creamsicle Chic

The Staple: Cropped Orange Jacket
Pairing orange with off-white always makes me crave a creamsicle. It’s such a fresh color combo for spring. Inspired by Rachel Bilson, I went with neutral accessories. This necklace is actually named the Sydne necklace! It will be available soon at my friend Deniz’s shop, Sugar and Sequins. To finish off the look, I went with chunky platforms to contrast the girlieness up top.

Paisley Denim

The Staple: Cropped Orange Jacket
One of my favorite outfits at New York fashion week last year was this sunset colors look. Using the same top and shoes, I created a more casual feel with my new Citizens of Humanity paisley jeans. I feel so lucky to have gotten my hands on them since they don’t come out till Summer 2012! The tonal pattern makes them easier to wear than colorful florals, and mixes oh so well with other prints.

Bright Suiting

The Staple: Cropped Orange Jacket
I love all the colorful suits celebrities have been rocking on the carpet this past year. But I’ve never had the courage to actually spend the money on one. Luckily, my new jacket just happened to perfectly match my flame pants from J. Crew. Aren’t fashion coincidences the best? I used blushes and rose gold to soften the bright pants suit. If you’re on the shorter side, like me, this cropped version of a jacket is a great way to try the menswear trend.
