ttF Fashion Staple: Black Pencil Skirt
I think every woman should own a striped top. It adds a fun, sporty element to any outfit from laid-back jeans to more dressy pencil skirts. Instead of jewelry, I accented today’s look with a chain cross-body and added a pop of color with red heels. The candy apple nails were an unplanned matching coincidence.

ttF Fashion Staple: Black Pencil Skirt and Black & Gold Watch
As much as I love the white waist of this month’s pencil skirt, it didn’t match with blue and mustard accents today. I could have simply worn another skirt but instead, I used a fabric belt to offer a quick fix. By wrapping the belt around, and tucking in the loose ends, I created a higher waistline, which was more flattering with the billowy top.

ttF Fashion Staple: Black Pencil Skirt and Oversize Black Clutch
Tonight marked the final leg of the MNG by MANGO Mission: the big reveal of our blogger photo at the Manhattan JCPenney. I ended where I started, with my fave animal print cardi from the collection (see how I styled in like Sienna Miller). I tucked it into this month’s staple skirt, kept warm with tights and added sparkle at my neck and feet to glam things up for the party. It was so nice reuniting with the Style Coalition bloggers I bonded with in Barcelona–and, of course, I’ve been dying to see the photo for months! Check out my Tumblr for a sneak peek.

ttF Fashion Staple: Black Pencil Skirt
Even with a month full of black staples I can’t get away from colorblocking. Today I did a blue and green version of my favorite trend.
