ttF Fashion Staple: Chain Belt and Colorful Snakeskin Pumps
It may be fall, but we’re having major summer weather in Los Angeles. So last night I went for one of my favorite transitional dresses. The olive color works from spring to winter depending on accessories. By pairing it with this month’s snakeskin staples, I was able to tap into one of my favorite trends for fall: colorblocking.

My friend Suzi (check out her Susan Thompson Cosmetics line here) and I went to shop for a cause at GUESS on Rodeo. The Bachelorette‘s Ali Fedotowsky and C Magazine were hosting the event in support of Susan G. Komen For The Cure. Ali kept it classic by pairing a GUESS by Marciano Shalin shirt with skinny jeans and leopard pumps. When I complimented her on her beige button-down she said she picked it out in three colors because it was such a great basic. Smart girl.

Before driving down to San Diego yesterday, I stopped by Fig & Olive for a blogger evening hosted by the Broke Girls Guide. I was inspired by one of the trends I’m featuring in my fall fashion segment: colorblocking. Pink and green is an unexpected color combo. I wore a brighter version back in spring and neon over the summer. But now that we’re entering fall, I wanted to do more deeper hues, and then added black to bring the colors into nighttime.

ttF Fashion Staple: Chain Belt

For our first mission incorporating pieces from MNG by MANGO’s fall collection, sold exclusively at jcpenney, we were asked to create a look inspired by a current British style icon in honor of London Fashion Week.

I chose Sienna Miller.

The actress loves to show off her legs in flirty minis and always adds an unexpected detail whether its quirky sunglasses, a patterned scarf or a chunky bangle. My key pieces were a MNG by Mango Animal Print cardi and MNG by Mango Blue Stripe bangles. I totally see Sienna rocking both!

ttF Fashion Staple: Chain Belt
Yesterday, I drove over to Cerritos for the Kardashian’s first in-store appearance for their Kardashian Kollection fashion line for Sears (you may remember reading about the launch at Colony here). Since I was going to be on my feet all day taking around a lucky OK! Magazine winner to meet the Kardashians, I wanted to be comfortable… but still look cute. So I slipped on one one of my fave cotton skirts, a thermal tee and moderate heels. The gold chains on my belt and an oversize men’s watch glammed up the look a bit. But nothing could compete with Kim’s ring. It’s all anyone could talk about as she signed autographs!
