I never would have thought about buttoning a shirt dress all the way up to my neck. But after seeing Coco Rocha a couple of months ago I changed my mind. It can be very elegant. Plus, it makes the dress more work appropriate, especially when you add a belt, blazer and pumps.

An extra dose of sparkle can really elevate your mood. I’ve been going through a breakup recently (you may notice more sunglass photos then usual!). And fashion has been my savior. Sometimes it’s a bright color. Other times it’s glitz, like this look I wore to the RewardStyle conference in Dallas. I brought out the multi-color sequins with a neon green blouse, then added leather shorts to edge things up. Instead of keeping my accessories simple, I stacked on major bling. So whenever I looked down at my wrist I couldn’t help but smile.

I’ve been very into statement jackets and distressed denim dressed lately. For my last day in Dallas, I used my yellow blazer to make ripped jeans more polished.
