ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Dress
For my last outfit using April’s ttF Fashion staples, I went with a similar look as to the one I styled when I first spotted this colorblock dress. In a Mystyle 3-Way, I showed how to wear brights at night by dressing up the dress with black and gold. Instead of a necklace like I used in the episode, I accessorized with a studded belt. I also mixed in cream bangles with the darker colors. I’m honestly bummed April is over. I could have easily worn these colorful staples for another 30 days!

ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Dress
There are some color combos that instantly make me smile. One of those is pink and green. There’s something so spring about the duo, perfect for a sunny April day. I turned my shift dress into a skirt by buttoning up a cardigan on top. Then added brown accents to give it a bit of an earthy vibe. I guess I was influenced by my surroundings. I perfectly match the trees and flowers in West Hollywood!

ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Dress
Tonight I attended Maria Menounos’ book party. Her The EveryGirl’s Guide to Life made #3 on the New York Times‘ Bestseller list! But more on the party in a ttF Scene coming soon. While my friend Kristen of Glitter ‘N Glue tapped into the tribal trend, I went bold with color.

I did a variation of January’s Gucci-inspired outfit by tucking my dress into a flowy skirt and cinching it all together with bronze. For one extra pop I added orange  sandals a saleswoman at a major Saks sale convinced me I’d get oh so much use out of. The satin makes them not so practical, but they worked for chic book party!

ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Dress
Tonight I went with my friend Daniella to the 7 for All Mankind Aviator event at the Sunset Tower Hotel. For Fall 2011, the denim company was inspired by pilot fashion. I especially loved their red cargo jeans. But perhaps that’s because I’ve been all about color this month! I brought red into my peach and coral dress with a leather wrap bracelet and two-tone platforms. With so many colors going on I really didn’t need much else!

ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Dress
This orange necklace was another piece I received from What I Wore as part of a blogger swap we did this month. One difficult part about swapping? You don’t want to give things back! I absolutely love how the orange bauble added an extra punch to my sherbet colored dress. Since it was a little chilly out today, I added my favorite trench and matching pump to head to a meeting and lunch.
