The Scene: Lucky FABB West

(Shareen vintage dress at the Viceroy, champagne brunch with RewardStyle, at the conference with BagSnob, stiletto fireplace at House of Zappos, Jessica Alba, hair and makeup in the Procter & Gamble suite, LA Times’ Beth Moore’s fab Kate Spade flats, delish cakes thanks to LeSportsac, floral mani)

Lucky Magazine hosted their first Lucky FABB West this year and I was thrilled to attend! Normally held in New York, the fashion and beauty blogger conference celebrates new media and helps bloggers build their brand. To kick off the festivities, I got to attend a gorgeous mimosa brunch with the folks at RewardStyle. I woke up bright and early the next morning for a full-day of panels, pampering and networking in Santa Monica.

Dressing for an event with bloggers, brands and editors is tough. But I always say it’s most important to be yourself. So I went with my go-to combo of a bandage skirt and button-down blouse. I was comfortable and fit right in with the biggest trend of the day: color. Click here to learn more about the conference.

Staple of the Week: Yellow Button-Down Blouse

(Kirsten Dunst, Garcelle Beauvais, Rihanna)

Yellow is my absolute favorite color. So when I saw that my first staple of the year came out in a sunny hue I immediately placed my order online. I love how celebrities played with denim and primary colors with the trend, but I also plan on adding my own bright spin.

1. J. Crew, $100
2. Equipment, $198
3. Vince Camuto, $79
4. Nexx, $88

Stay tuned to see how I style my J. Crew blouse three ways in this week’s Staples Series!

Staple of the Week: Neon Pink Blouse

I wanted to kick off the first staple of 2012 with one of my favorite trends: neon. Brights lit up the spring runways. And a neon pink blouse is a great way to get a head start on the trend. I’m going with a silk long-sleeve button-down this week. If you’re fortunate enough to live in warmer climates you can try a sleeveless version. Not a fan of collars? A sheer blouse or lightweight sweater can achieve the same feel.

1. J. Crew Blythe Blouse ($98)
2. Equipment Mina Sleeveless Blouse ($178)
3. ADAM Pleated Long Sleeve Blouse ($325 $227.50)
4. Forever 21 Classic Lslv Sweater ($14.50)

Stay tuned to see how I wear J. Crew’s neon blouse three ways in this week’s Staples Series!

ttF Fashion Diary: Pretty Little Liars

ttF Fashion Staple: Sheer Floral Button-Down
Whenever a shoot has a theme, I usually incorporate it into what I’m wearing that day. As you can probably tell from the photo above, the theme of OK! Magazine’s Pretty Little Liars spread was style-palooza fashion. Before the actors arrived, we had to scout out locations. And my floral shirt and crochet vest worked perfectly to sit in for fab photographer Andrew Southam to snap up some test shots.

Here’s a little sneek peek into the shoot with Tammin Sursock (who plays Jenna Marshall) and Tyler Blackburn (who plays Caleb Rivers) from the hit ABC Family show. Both actors were total dolls and had awesome music stories. To see Niria Portella’s festival fashion spread and to read my interview check out this week’s OK! Magazine, on newsstands now.

Equipment Signature Floral Shirt, gradmother’s cardigan cut into vest, Charley 5.0 denim leggings, Steve Madden wedges, nameplate necklace, vintage rings
