ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Silky Pearls
It’s so difficult going back to work after a vacation. But at least I returned with a tan. A neutral palette showed it off. Gaudy pearl clip-ons made the the simple outfit a little more fun. Still, I prefer the shorts with the leopard cardigan I wore in June.

On a side note, my nude flats have finally reached their last leg. The small heel broke off as I walked to the food trucks at lunch. I sounded like a tap dancer the rest of the day. Time to head to Miracle Shoe Repair!

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Colorblock Hop
When I first bought this skirt I thought I’d only wear it with black and white. But I slowly got more adventurous, pairing it with black and green, and today, sage and lime. Being courageous with your styling choices often pays off. This is my favorite combo yet!

Since I’ve been wearing heels so much, I wanted to give my feet a day of rest. I’m only 5’3 so I hate wearing flats. But to make the best of it, we decided to do a jumping photo shoot today. I thought back to America’s Next Top Model episodes and remembered not to lose my neck. Instead of Mister Jay, I had my friends Jen and Brett helping me figure out how to hop off the ledge. I wonder what Tyra would think of the shots.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Floral Cameo
I’m absolutely in love with this cameo brooch my grandmother used to wear so I based my outfit around it today. I’ve pinned jewelry onto cardigans long before ever hearing of Michelle Obama and it’s a combo I plan to continue wearing when I’m a grandma.

I used black tights to winterize what I originally thought could only be a summer skirt and slipped on the most comfortable ballet flats to give my feet a day of rest (the Steve Madden pumps I wore last night are fairly comfortable—just not when you’re standing in them for four hours straight).

There was lace-up footwear for every type of woman on the spring runways. There were the flats that my vintage-loving partner at Forever21Report.com has been coveting and peep-toe pumps that I couldn’t take my eyes off.
