Florals are undeniably girlie. But mixed with black you can bring them into the night. I paired my trendy jeans with classics: a black tank, blazer and pointy pumps. Then, I added a statement necklace for a dose of sparkle. It was the perfect outfit to go from meetings to happy hour at The Hudson.

Beauty Tip: Nail polish is an easy way to try out spring trends. I did my multi-pastel mani with Sally Hansen Smooth & Perfect in Whisper, Air, Sea and Sorbet. But be forewarned: the entire week my manicure made me crave macarons!

I’m a huge fan of matchy-matchy. So for a casual day look, I brought out the pastels of my printed denim with a mint tee and lavender sunnies. I added a pop of turquoise but kept the rest of the outfit fairly neutral with gray, cream and gold. It’s all about balance, after all.

One of my favorite prints to mix with florals is leopard. Last year, I paired this belt with a rose print shirt. Now, it’s poppy print denim. To lengthen my legs, I went with a platform in a similar shade and kept the rest of the outfit simple with crisp white. I highly recommend investing in a silk blouse. It makes even hard-to-wear prints polished enough for meetings or the office. I’m obsessed!
