ttF Fashion Staple: Sequined Top
Tonight my friend hosted a party to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah. I literally started getting ready 20 minutes before I was supposed to be at the casual holiday gathering. The rush made me throw together a mish-mash of colors, fabrics and textures. The outfit is much more eccentric then my typical style but it was fun stepping outside of my comfort zone for a night of wine and latkes.

ttF Fashion Staple: Tortoise Necklace
Inspired by my camel monochromatic outfit, I did a similar one-color palette using deeper neutrals. It was pure luck that I happened to have a sweater that went perfectly with this metallic maxi skirt! Since I was going to be on my feet all day, I slipped into comfy cowboy boots and finished off the look with some tortoise, topaz and leopard.

ttF Fashion Staple: Flat Black Boots
After a fun-filled week with my family, it was time to head back to LA. The morning was chilly, so I broke out one of my new Black Friday purchases: a sherpa vest that gives any look an Aspen chic feel. I layered it over a cable knit sweater and denim leggings to stay comfy on the car ride home. I’ll miss my parents and pups (Bear and Rosy are pictured below) but more holidays are just around the corner!

ttF Fashion Staple: Cropped Faux Fur Vest and Black & Gold Watch
It can get quite chilly in San Diego. For extra warmth tonight, I wore a faux fur vest under a leather jacket. Since the vest has lace in back, it works as layer (full on fur would make be too puffy). With boots, this look easily works for day. But I added a sky-high pair of heels for sushi dinner.

ttF Fashion Diary: Black Friday

ttF Fashion Staple: Flat Black Boots
I’ve never been someone who camps out for sales. But considering I had to go shopping anyway, Black Friday seemed like the perfect afternoon activity after today’s beach walk. After doing some damange at J. Crew (I can’t wait to show you my new staples next month!), I headed over to JC Penney. I’ve been looking for an oversize sweater to wear with leggings and there it was in Charlotte Ronson’s section. I usually wear a small, but instead bought an XL so it would fully cover my bottom. I loved it so much, I changed into it for the remainder of our shopping excursion… where we missed Prince Harry by 10 minutes at Nordstrom!
