I really should have made my Vince sweater a fashion staple. I keep wearing the comfy cashmere over and over again. Tonight, I switched it up by layering a shirt underneath and pinning a cameo brooch on the ruffle collar to go to sushi with my mother. If you’re ever in Northern San Diego, you must try Samurai. Their Chef Special hand roll is to die for. We continued our tradition of going to frozen yogurt after dinner and the warm sweater certainly came in handy again as I had a cold cup of Red Velvet. Major yum.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Afternoon Drive
Today I needed something that was appropriate for work but still comfy enough for my trip down to San Diego. A knit sweater and leggings did the trick. It was strange being by the beach in boots but it’s been pretty cold for SoCal standards. Plus, black was the perfect choice for my reunion with Bunny. I hadn’t seen my dog for an entire month so needless to say she immediately jumped onto my lap—and I welcomed her with open arms.

ttF Fashion Diary: A W Afternooon
Craaaaazy day. I had to run errands downtown this morning to help my friend find a costume for the space party I’m throwing him tonight. Then I stopped by Angeleno‘s pre-Oscar event at the W Hotel in Hollywood and then the lovely Sinead, aka Self Tanning Queen, put together a blogger event at her suite at the posh hotel (Her assistant Carrie and I are posing with our moustache jewelry below).

Mind you, it’s 8:30pm, I just got home and have not yet cleaned, decorated or figured out my costume. The party starts in an hour.

But back to daytime: I needed an outfit that I could run around in and be comfortable. A tunic, boyfriend cardi and leggings did just the trick. Ok, gtg. Need to set up for my soiree!
