I’ve always been drawn to artistic prints. So the minute I saw this top at Ted Baker, I knew it had to come home with me—it didn’t hurt that it was on major sale either. I don’t normally go for such flowing fabrics but the asymmetrical silk blows in the wind when I walk, instantly lifting my mood. The soft colors reminded of the ocean, which translated to an outfit full of cool greens and blues. To avoid looking like a mermaid, I added nude leather to the mix with my accessories.

Fashion Staple Used: Mint Jeans
During the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, my mom got me a tuxedo-inspired blazer in celebration of reaching 10,000 Twitter followers. Yes, I have quite possibly the best mother ever. The jacket is the perfect staple for fall but I couldn’t wait that long to slip it on. So I paired it with a lightweight black tank and mint accents so I could start wearing it this summer.

Minty Rose Gold
Fashion Staple Used: Mint Jeans
I’ve had quite the rose gold obsession recently. The metallic color works perfect with pastels, so I piled it on for my simple outfit today. I like adding a chain bracelet to a men’s-inspired watch. It gives it that feminine touch. And you don’t have to worry about mixing metals with rose gold. As you can see from my DIY ombré mani, the rosy hue stylishly blends with gold and silver.
