Just as I’m starting to get sequined out, Nina Ricci designer Olivier Theysken comes along scattering gold beads over my girl crush, Lily Donaldson. The sequined shoes were a little much, but that turtleneck gown was one of my favorite looks of Paris Fashion Week. It made me fall in love with sparkle, shimmer and shine all over again.

In case you can’t tell from the pictures above, a balloon sleeve is full on top and gets narrower on bottom. All the volume distracts from the lower body, so the sleeve is great if you’re trying to conceal a tummy. If you’re like me, and have narrow shoulders, a balloon sleeve evens out your shape.
I love mini dresses. I’m wearing one right now in fact—with opaque tights of course, since I’m at work. But micro minis can be a little much, especially when the dress has a chest-exposing sweetheart neckline. Isabel Marant tried to make her animal print micro mini wearable by styling it with a blazer. It worked on Erin Wasson, but who has thighs like that?
