This might have been a month full of black staples, but I still managed to mix in color. I especially liked the combo of black and mustard, as well as black and red. The beauty about all these pieces is they are classics. So you’ll no doubt be seeing them pop up in future outfit posts, mixed with trendy accessories.

ttF Fashion Staple: Black & Gold Watch and Black Lace Cardigan
I can’t believe November is over! To celebrate the last night of what’s been such a wonderful month, I headed to Beverly Hills for Perrier-Jouët and Nola Singer Jewelry Line Soiree. The designer sells her line at Intermix and Planet Blue, but you can get a sneak peek of the new collection on my Tumblr.

As for what I wore? I’m thrilled I picked up these jeans from the tailor. The wide-leg style is so incredibly flattering, especially when paired with a matching top. The black separates give the feeling of a retro jumpsuit. For a pop of color I added a bold lip and my new bejeweled bag. Stay tuned later tonight for a roundup of all my outfits from this month!

ttF Fashion Staple: Black & Gold Watch
I woke up this morning with a horrible head cold. After spending half the day in bed, I had to run a few errands. I could have kept on sweats, but sometimes getting dressed up can make you feel better… especially when a dress is as flattering as this one. The A-line shape and glitter diagonal lines are incredibly slimming, especially when you add some height with heels. Dark sunnies and a floppy hat hid my fatigue as I checked off my to-do list with a green juice in hand.

What’s your go-to outfit for feeling better?

ttF Fashion Staple: Flat Black Boots
After a fun-filled week with my family, it was time to head back to LA. The morning was chilly, so I broke out one of my new Black Friday purchases: a sherpa vest that gives any look an Aspen chic feel. I layered it over a cable knit sweater and denim leggings to stay comfy on the car ride home. I’ll miss my parents and pups (Bear and Rosy are pictured below) but more holidays are just around the corner!

ttF Fashion Staple: Cropped Faux Fur Vest and Black & Gold Watch
It can get quite chilly in San Diego. For extra warmth tonight, I wore a faux fur vest under a leather jacket. Since the vest has lace in back, it works as layer (full on fur would make be too puffy). With boots, this look easily works for day. But I added a sky-high pair of heels for sushi dinner.
