ttF Fashion Staple: Ruffle Shift Dress
Tonight my best friend Michelle was in town from Philadelphia. I was joining her and her family at her father’s birthday dinner at Thai Original BBQ in Studio City. I wanted to look nice but a dress was a little too much for the causal Valley restaurant. By folding the hem and tucking it underneath, I instantly turned the ruffles into a top! I used leather and my new Rock and Republic spiked booties to add a little edge. My favorite part of the outfit was when my friend told me the $30 dress looked like Lanvin.

ttF Fashion Diary: Dog Days of Fall

ttF Fashion Staples: Chain Scarf & Leather Over the Knee Boots
My last day in Memphis was freezing. Luckily, I could borrow an oversize sweater from my mom. I used a chain scarf instead of a necklace to add an extra layer around my neck and kept warm on bottom with my leather boots. Our Golden Retriever-Collie mix, Fuzz, seemed to like the shoes as much as I do. He kept trying to eat them while they were on my feet! After playing with him and Bear in the fall leaves, I had a yummy lunch with my parents at The Half Shell . Then, it was sadly time to say goodbye to my family and Memphis.

ttF Fashion Staples: Black Boyfriend Blazer & Chain Scarf
Camel is one of the biggest colors for fall. But it’s also a classic. I incorporated the trend into tonight’s look with a fuzzy cowl neck sweater and the jeans and boots I wore earlier in the week. I really didn’t bring too much jewelry to Memphis so for tonight’s dinner at Interim, I accessorized by accentuating this gorgeous purse with a silk scarf. Maybe one day my mom will get sick of the handbag and pass it down to me. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with wishful thinking!

ttF Fashion Diary: Thanksgiving Lace

ttF Fashion Staple: Black Boyfriend Blazer
I have so much to be thankful for this year, including all my wonderful ThinkThruFashion readers! And I am, of course, always thankful to spend time with my family. We went out to Thanksgiving dinner and it was cold and rainy. So I used layers to keep warm: a lace top to dress up my black jeans, a cozy shawl cardigan that keeps my neck covered and a boyfriend blazer for a polished finish. The best part about my outfit? The shirt was incredibly loose, which meant I could indulge till my heart was content. Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday!
