(Check out my Red Carpet Ready video!)
A major trend on the Oscars red carpet was curves. My fave of the night, Jessica Chastain, looked as if she was literally sculpted into her Old Hollywood gown. And even thought I wasn’t in love with Halle Berry’s dress, there’s no denying she looked incredible in it (see more Oscars pics here). The trend continued at the after-parties as well. Just look at Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein! Since we’re not all blessed with A-list figures, we have to rely on shapewear to help us out. (more…)
This was the first Academy Awards that one of the first actresses that walked that red carpet was my absolute fave of the night. Kudos to Jessica Chastain for being early and the epitome of Old Hollywood glamour. While her look can only be worn for special occasions like the Oscars, there were many red carpet trends that you can easily incorporate into real life. From bow details to white dresses, here are my top picks of the night—plus ways you can get inspired by the looks all under $200!

Celebrities were having a major bridal moment this Oscars. Zoe’s was one of my faves, with the darker panels at the hemline. A white dress is a great way to get a head start on spring!

No matter what your size, every woman feels more confident in shapewear. Even some of Hollywood tiniest actresses use the miracle fabric to smooth everything out on the red carpet. Wacoal has a fabulous line of shapewear for all body types. Check out the video above to hear tips on what style will work for you from me and my blogger gals Marie of The Curvy Fashionista, Jacey of Damsel in Dior and Devon of Devon Rachel! (more…)

After watching the Oscars red carpet on E!, I headed to Soho House for the Mercedes-Benz Academy Awards Viewing Party. I tapped into spring’s pastel trend with a fitted dress accented with silver and crystals. Instead of wearing my hair down, like last year, I took note of the ponytails from SAGs to show off my earrings.
