Classic Green

Staple Used: Bright Shorts
You can never go wrong with a white button-down blouse. It goes with everything. I kept with the classic feel by adding a vintage two-tone bag and men’s watch (it was my grandfather’s!). Since everything else was so timeless I wanted to add a trendy touch. That’s where these heels came in. I love how a pair of shoes can give an outfit a completely new look.

Ok, so probably the only thing country about this outfit is the floral cowgirl shirt. But it still felt fitting to pose against a fence for today’s photo. In fact, my outfit was quite trendy. I combined florals, a paper bag waist (from one of my fave posts ever), colorblocking and fringe. But by sticking to a serene color palette I was able to tie everything together without looking too over the top.

ttF Fashion Diary: Green Room

ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Sandals
If you’re a loyal ThinkThruFashion reader I’m sure you know by now that I’m obsessed with lia sophia. And so are celebs. So today, I shot a segment talking about the jewelry as one of KTLA’s hot celeb items of the week. As I’ve mentioned before, when I’m on camera I prefer to stick to solid brights. That’s actually one of the reasons I bought this emerald dress at Lucky Shops. And appropriately, where we filmed the segment was called “the green room!”

ttF Fashion Diary: Double Denim

ttF Fashion Staple: Colorblock Sandals
Some people are opposed to denim on denim. Others, like Whitney Port, love it. I’m usually a fan of the trend, especially when it’s done with a chambray shirt and dark bottoms. I used to always wear my button-downs over my skinny jeans. But a couple of years ago, I learned from Rachel Bilson that you look much taller when you tuck your top in. Since denim is pretty neutral it allowed me to have fun with color on my lips and feet and I added a splash of spots with my sunglasses.
