When I bought this skirt I couldn’t resist the matching peplum top. The whole look reads way more expensive that it actually was (don’t you just love when that happens?). Keeping budget conscious, I added my new beaded necklace and gradmother’s purse. Of course, the shoes are a bit of a splurge but they’re one of the best investments I’ve made. A classic metallic Jimmy Choo sandal will never go out of style.

Today I went extra girlie by mixing pastels and florals. Instead of keeping with gold jewelry, I added an extra pop of color with emerald accents. Bold jewelry is a great way to make an outfit more unique.

Today I wanted to prove just how versatile satin can be. So I dressed down my skirt with a basic white tee and denim shirt. If the skirt was an inch or two shorter, I probably would have worn flats. But if you’re a shortie like me, you need height when wearing knee-length. While nude shoes are always the best for lengthening legs, sometimes matching your heel to your dress or skirt can work too! Hope everyone is having a fab Monday!
