Street Coral

The Staple: Leopard Long-Sleeve Blouse
This jacket is a little edgier than I usually gravitate towards but I really liked the sheer sleeves. It’s the perfect way to mix things up with layers. One day you can show bare arms underneath, and the next let a print peek through, like this week’s leopard top. I finished off the look with my fave classic black pants and added height with some strappy sandals.

Atomic Orange

The Staple: Black Lace Skirt
We’ve been having quite the summer weather in LA recently. And I’m certainly not complaining—it’s the perfect excuse to try out some of spring’s hottest trends. Enter the bold lip. I bought this Bobbi Brown lipstick in Atomic Orange a couple of weeks ago and have been dying to wear it. The color really pops against a black and white palette of mixed prints (polka dots, lace and stripes, oh my!).  And for an extra splash I added my recent obsession: coral pumps.

Colorblock Craze

The Staple: Bright Cable Knit Sweater
If you’ve been a regular reader of my blog, you know that I adore colorblocking. I’m constantly thinking of fresh new combos I can wear. For spring, neon is huge. So I wanted to incorporate this new necklace I bought into the mix. I love the way it pops against orange and purple. While I usually advise sticking to 2-3 colors max when doing the colorblock trend, I broke the rules today by adding a coral pump. It’s a little crazy but certainly made my day extra bright.

Orange & Navy

The Staple: Bright Cable Knit Sweater
One of my favorite colors to pair with orange is navy. Over the summer, I mixed prints with the combo but today kept with solids. When tucking a cable knit sweater into a pencil skirt, you want to make sure the waist is very fitted. If it’s not, you can do what I did, and use a ribbon in matching color to cinch your middle. I originally planned on a tan shoe until these periwinkle beauties came in the mail! The pastel gives the look a more unique feel—plus, it’s a major trend for spring.

ttF Fashion Diary: Christmas Eve Shine

ttF Fashion Staple: Lamé Skirt
A gold skirt is the perfect piece to bring home for the holidays. You can use it to add a bit of shine to more casual looks, or go all out glitz like I did tonight. I love how the braided belt actually looked like it was part of my skirt! I’m spending the week in San Diego with my family, walking on the beach by day and having delicious meals at night. Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend, too!
