ttF Fashion Staple: Sweater Vest
I never consider myself boho but I really love this season’s maxi skirt trend. It’s so comfortable and, worn with platforms, can make the body incredibly long and lean. Since I don’t have too many maxi skirt options, I layered over one of my favorite summer dresses. I started with a sheer top, and then belted my sweater vest on top to give the outfit some shape. When it came time to take a picture in the hippie chic outfit, it was perfectly fitting that they just planted fresh flowers at work. The only drawback to the skirt? It kept getting stuck under my chair at my desk!

ttF Fashion Staple: Sweater Vest
My glamorous Golden Globes night was spent in front of a computer with a massive Diet Coke. That’s usually how I spend my awards season evening, blogging for the Style Network on Mystyle.com. Since I wasn’t going to wear a red carpet gown to the office, I channeled one of the nominated movies, True Grit, with a cowgirl inspired outfit that was comfy enough to recap the red carpet. The movie didn’t get any love at the show, but I gave it my own tribute with a floral button-down and cowboy boots.

ttF Fashion Staple: Sweater Vest
After a day up in the hills, I headed downtown to a friend’s potluck dinner. We were debating going out afterward so I wanted something comfy enough for wine and pasta but cute enough in case we went to a lounge.  I went with a very similar outfit as I wore last October in Miami, using my vest as a jacket. We ended up staying in and watching Miss America. I had my money on Arkansas and was majorly bummed she didn’t get the crown.

ttF Fashion Diary: Lakeshow

ttF Fashion Staple: Sweater Vest
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you probably know I’m a Lakers fan. When it’s game time, I try to add purple and gold to that month’s ttF Fashion staple. Tonight, was extra important to support my team. I was going to the game with a Knicks fan! My friend Jamie of Queen of the Quarter Life Crisis invited me and Tiffany to the game, so I couldn’t give her a hard time about wearing a New York sweatshirt. As for my outfit, I got comfy by layering my Lakers purple shirt under a vest and accessorizing with my lucky Believe necklace and team bracelet. It worked! We won.
