Beach cover-ups can be incredibly pricy. And unless you’re a jet setter, really how often do you wear flowy tunics over bikinis? That’s why I like using tops as beach cover-ups. You’ve already seen my fave chiffon one from Forever 21 and a steal I scored from Chico’s over the summer. This is actually a plus-size top that I wear as a tunic. It was my ex-boyfriend’s mother’s and I can tuck it into jean shorts or wear as is over a bathing suit. Since we were stopping by a pool party today, I added gold accents with a simple pair of hoops and metallic flip-flops.

Memorial Day weekend marks the official start of summer—and it’s when most of realize we need to whip our body in shape ASAP for bathing suit season.
