ttF Fashion Staple: Olive Dress and Taupe Bag
This morning, I attended a blogger breakfast with Too Faced. The cosmetics company introduced their fall collection, based around exotic beauty. Keeping with the exotic theme, I turned my olive dress into a top by tucking it in a flouncy tribal skirt (a trick I’ve used before with a similar outfit here). I enjoyed catching up with bloggers, including Red Carpet Roxy and Megs Makeup, pictured below. We tried out the new eye shadows, liners, brushes and mascara. My personal fave? The Matte Eye Shadow Collection. The soft neutrals are the perfect compliment to fall’s bold red lips. I can’t wait start blending the modern mattes next month!

ttF Fashion Staple: Canvas Belt and Taupe Bag
The beauty of San Diego is it’s so incredibly laid back. So even when you’re going to a delectable French restaurant, like Tapenade in La Jolla, there’s no need to get too dressed up. Tonight, I did a beach chic feel by taking inspiration from this outfit I wore back in May. After such an incredible meal all I can say is I was thrilled to have to much stretch in my belt!

ttF Fashion Diary: Dog Days

ttF Fashion Staple: Olive Dress and Taupe Bag
After a stint in Memphis, my family finally moved back to San Diego. And I couldn’t be more thrilled to have them return to Southern California! Today, I drove down and got a warm welcome from my canine brother Bear (he’s a blogger, too). San Diego is more casual than Los Angeles. So for an early sushi dinner, I turned my dress into a top by tucking it underneath and blousing it over a pair of skinny jeans. I added a mix of neutral accessories to complete the look.

Speaking of this month’s dress, Michelle Jonas Travelwear is having a sample sale this Saturday, August 27 from 11am-4pm at 719 S Los Angeles Street, Suite 915. If you live near Los Angeles I highly recommend checking it out!

ttF Fashion Staple: Taupe Bag and Snakeskin Wedges
I don’t know why this cardigan was stuffed in the back of my closet. I forgot how much I adore it! The lightweight material is perfect as summer is starting to cool down and the draping makes you feel as if you’re wearing pajams. I rediscovered it today and did a similar look as my 70s style back in March, substituting a bandeau top for a fitted tank. Going with the breezy feeling of the cardigan, I tapped into the wide-leg denim trend and finished it off with an assortment of silver jewelry.
