Happy Father’s Day! I’m in New York this week so I haven’t been able to celebrate. But I was fortunate enough to spend almost a week with my step-dad, Steve, in Mexico earlier in the month. You may recognize this outfit from my White Party post. To celebrate Steve’s birthday, we had a fiesta complete with a Mariachi band and a delish Mexican meal. We all wore white, kicked off our shoes and took family portraits. I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life. And he has an input in my fashion too! According to my step-dad, white is my color when I’m tan, classic silhouettes are the best and gladiator shoes are the worst. But that’s a dad for you.

ttF Fashion Staple: Sheer Floral Button-Down
I normally tuck button-downs into these shorts. But I love the fluidity of this sheer blouse. So I opened it and wore it more as a jacket for a full day of errands yesterday. After looking at these pics I wish my shorts were just and inch longer. Since it was so windy all day I didn’t realize that my shirt was longer than my cut-offs.
