Two big trends I saw at fashion week were lace and boho styles. I combined the two for a dinner the other weekend in New York City with friends. I love the look of over-the-knee boots peeking out under lace. And judging from the runways, burgundy is going to be on trend through next winter, too! I matched the dress with my clutch then brought in some faux fur to keep warm.

My look went perfectly with my room at Hotel Giraffe. Fashion week used to have a base location. When I started covering the shows it was at Bryant Park. Then it moved to Lincoln Center. But now the shows are all over the city! Since I was in town for a week, I wanted to stay at a central location. A friend recommended the Hotel Giraffe in Flatiron and I couldn’t have been happier with my stay. You can see peeks into my room in my Fashion Week Vlog over on YouTube. My favorite part was the balcony. It was too cold to sit outside but I loved taking a quick peek out to the city every morning. Another fave about the boutique hotel? Complimentary lattes 24/7… not to mention wine and cheese in the lobby every evening. And the staff couldn’t be nicer. I can’t wait to go back for next fashion week!
