If you’ve been following me on Insta Stories, you’ve already seen what I’ve been wearing at New York fashion week. I got in last night and it’s already been non stop. I can’t wait to share my fashion week looks on the blog next! In the meantime, I wanted to take you on a trip down memory lane with some of my fave February fashion week street style trends.
I always wear faux fur at New York fashion week. It’s in style every season yet still gives off a trendy statement. I lived in this pink faux fur coat in 2016. Other years, I did coats with faux fur accents and used a faux fur stole to update my blazers.
A maxi skirt is a great way to get a head start on spring trends while still keeping warm. I always hide thick tights and boots underneath my patterned skirts at fashion week. One year I went bright with an artsy print, pairing it with a leather jacket. The next year I played with pastels and made it winter friendly with a turtleneck.
Yellow coats and jackets
Yellow is my favorite color. So I wear it any chance I can get! A bright color is also a great way to stand out at fashion week… or during any winter event. I’ve worn everything from yellow coats with leather pants to yellow jackets with jeans.
I’ve always loved monochromatic outfits. Dressing in one color from head-to-toe instantly gives a luxe, polished vibe. I’ve played with all different neutrals when it comes to monochromatic dressing. One year I did all blush with a maxi dress, leggings and over-the-knee boots. Another year, I went for an all camel look. You’ll definitely be seeing more of this trend from me coming up!
