June National Days to Celebrate at Home

Sydne Style shares June National Day Calendar 2020 for best holidays to celebrate

It’s June… which means summer is officially here. This summer is definitely going to be different than every other summer. But luckily there are so many national holidays in June that you can celebrate at home. I know I’ll doing an at-home mani tomorrow to celebrate National Nail Polish Day. And some days I’ve been celebrating every day, like take your dog to work day. Jack Jack sure has been happy! I hope this calendar gets you excited about some fun activities you can do at home to keep you happier during these tough times.

June National Days Calendar

JUNE 1: NATIONAL NAIL POLISH DAY

Considering I haven’t been able to visit the nail salon for months now, I’ve gotten pretty good at doing at-home manis if I must say so myself. If you’re looking for ideas to paint your nails, I did a whole post on nail trends. I’ve mostly been painting my nails with Essie’s Treat Love Color polish. It doubles as a nail strengthener, which is super helpful after I removed my gels at home.

JUNE 2: NATIONAL LEAVE THE OFFICE EARLY DAY

Considering most of us aren’t going into an office, this one is an easy one to celebrate!

JUNE 3: NATIONAL EGG DAY

Whether you like them sunny side up or in an omelette, it’s the day to eat eggs for breakfast! My favorite way to eat eggs is poached over avocado toast.

JUNE 4: NATIONAL CLEAN BEAUTY DAY

While not all my products are part of clean beauty, I’ve slowly been replacing as many as possible with non toxic alternatives. Below are some of my favorite clean beauty products I use…

JUNE 5: NATIONAL DONUT DAY

I actually don’t like donuts (weird, I know). But if you’re a fan, it’s your day to indulge.

JUNE 6: NATIONAL BUBBLY DAY

Now a glass of champagne? That is right up my alley!

JUNE 7: NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVOR’S DAY

Send a note to a loved one who survived cancer today. My cousin, Alyse is a breast cancer survivor. And my blogger friends Jenna and Rach both survived cancer.

JUNE 8: NATIONAL BEST FRIENDS DAY

Even if you can’t hug your best friend, you can FaceTime her! I plan on catching up with all my best friends to celebrate.

JUNE 9: NATIONAL STRAWBERRY RHUBARB PIE DAY

All these national food holidays have really made realize I wish I baked! If you do, I found this strawberry rhubarb pie recipe that looks delicious.

JUNE 10: NATIONAL ICED TEA DAY

Whether you like it minty or sweet, serve your tea over ice today!

JUNE 11: NATIONAL MAKING LIFE BEAUTIFUL DAY

This day is dedicated to celebrating men and women who make life more beautiful. Send that person in your life a note and let them know why they’ve brightened your days.

JUNE 12: NATIONAL RED ROSE DAY

Now that flower shops are open again, why not pick up some red roses for yourself? If you want to send them, I often use Bouqs, which gets their flowers from local farmers.

JUNE 13: NATIONAL ROSÉ DAY

From roses to rosé, it’s going to be quite the weekend! I personally cannot wait for this one.

JUNE 14: NATIONAL CHILDREN’S DAY

National Children’s Day was created to honor the children in our lives. Parents are encouraged to slow down, turn off social media and spend quality time with their little ones. I only have a furbaby so I’ll be taking a mini social media break with Jack Jack to celebrate.

JUNE 15: NATIONAL SMILE POWER DAY

More than ever, we could all use a reminder to smile. It’s definitely a powerful thing…

JUNE 16: NATIONAL FUDGE DAY

Sure you could bake fudge the old fashioned way. Or you can try this easy recipe with 3 Minute Microwave Fudge! I’ll let you decide.

JUNE 17: NATIONAL EAT YOUR VEGETABLES DAY

I eat vegetables every day. But if you don’t, it’s a good reminder to get your dose. One of my favorite recipes that I eat over and over is this Roasted Vegetable Salad.

JUNE 18: NATIONAL SPLURGE DAY

You can take this day to mean whatever you want: maybe it’s a cheat day on your diet where you splurge on all that leftover fudge. Or, maybe you finally treat yourself to that bag you’ve been eyeing for months.

JUNE 19: NATIONAL FLIP FLOP DAY

As it gets hotter, I know I’ve been reaching for my flip flops more and more. Here are some styles I like…

JUNE 20: FIRST DAY OF SUMMER

It’s official. Summer. Starts. Now. It also is the longest day of the year. So soak up that extra daylight!

JUNE 21: FATHER’S DAY

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! I’m hoping I’ll be able to go down to celebrate with my stepdad. If not, I guess I can always send him fudge and FaceTime!

JUNE 22: NATIONAL ONION RING DAY

Again, not a food I like. But I do love Funyons, which are close enough. So maybe I’ll do an extra splurge day.

JUNE 23: NATIONAL PINK DAY

“On Wednesdays, we wear pink.” Well, in June, on Tuesdays we wear pink, too.

JUNE 24: NATIONAL TEQUILA DAY

Did someone say skinny spicy margarita? You don’t have to ask me twice! Here’s a Keto friendly spicy margarita recipe in case you’re watching your carbs.

JUNE 25: NATIONAL STRAWBERRY PARFAIT DAY

Yup, there are two strawberry holidays in June! This one is much easier to celebrate. Layer chopped up strawberries with your favorite yogurt, and add granola if you’re feeling wild.

JUNE 26: NATIONAL TAKE YOUR DOG TO WORK DAY

This is every day for me and Jack Jack!

JUNE 27: NATIONAL SUNGLASSES DAY

There are so many fun sunglasses trends for summer, from oversize frames to aviator styles. Here are some of my faves:

Whether you have a fancy DSLR or use your iPhone as your camera, it’s a fun reminder to take some photos.

JUNE 30: NATIONAL OOTD DAY

It’s time to show off your summer outfits! Don’t forget to post an #OOTD pic on Insta to show off your style.

I hope this post was fun for you! I’ll be sharing the days I’m celebrating over on Instagram.

I love your calendar and wondered if I could print them each month and use in my classroom. I am a teacher for students with special needs and this would be a fun way to engage students during calendar time. Thank you so much!
