I’m all about lace dresses for summer. The fabric is very breathable, which is great for the heat. It also packs well, making it perfect for travel. I find myself getting a new lace dress every season. Most recently, I added this pastel blue one to my collection (on sale right now in white!). It has the feeling of a crop top and skirt but the sheer lace overlay makes me feel more appropriate for a brunch or summer event. I can’t tell you how many people I know that have this lace dress. After I got it in mint last year, my best friend bought it in white for her bridal shower. Then my other friend bought it in blue for summer weddings. A bunch of my #ssInstaFam babes also sent in pics of themselves wearing the dress in various colors (it comes in a ton of shades!).
Not only is the price great, but the shape works for so many body types. You can wear a bra with it, the straps are adjustable, and the a-line shape skirt is flattering and appropriate for any occasion.

I was initially going to pair my blue dress with nude accessories. Then I saw a photo of Reese Witherspoon pairing a blue dress with a purple bag while promoting Big Little Lies in NYC (side note: I’m so excited for the show to come back this weekend!). I took inspiration from the actress and brought out my lilac sandals (now on sale!) and matching bag. It gave me major Alice in Wonderland vibes. And it was the perfect compliment to all the jacaranda trees blooming over Los Angeles.
