Mercedes Benz Fashion Week officially begins today. But I kicked off the festivities last night. First was the Heart Truth Red Dress show. Every year, the organization helps raise awareness about heart disease with a celebrity fashion show. Highlights this year were Diet Coke ambassador Minka Kelly’s Oscar de la Renta dress and Roselyn Sanchez dancing down the runway.

Next, I headed over to the Prabal Gurung for Target Launch Event. The collection doesn’t hit stores until February 10 but I was incredibly luckily to get to shop early—and meet the über talented designer! It was a carnival themed bash, complete with rides, food trucks and a performance by Ne-Yo (you can catch a clip by following me on the Vine app).

I ended the night with chocolate covered strawberries (my bf is the sweetest) and welcome champagne from the lovely peeps at The Empire Hotel. It truly was the most lovely kick off to what’s going to be an incredibly exciting week!

As for what I wore… I didn’t have much time to get ready after I landed and did I mention it was freezing?! So I went for a more casual look with leather leggings. This red top reminds me of mini hearts, which I felt was perfect for the evening’s festivities. And a blazer always pulls everything together.
