Recently, I’ve been really inspired by all the tribal chic looks from Spring 2009 Fashion Week. So much so, that I was immediately drawn to this global print when helping a friend clean out her closet. The skirt was too big on me but the elastic waistband let me transform it into a dress. I created an outfit I can wear now to work and on vacation later this summer.
Now…
Juicy Couture ribbed shirt, Forever 21 belt, vintage necklace, Hogan boots
Later…
Beads from Africa, flower ring a friend got me at Bergdorfs, Steve Madden wedges
Lady, you can show the versatility of a garment like no one else. I swear, when the mags do a “now and later” feature, I always scoff … but yours? Smart, chic, and totally do-able.

Thanks! I think not having a closet full of designers at my disposal forces me to get more creative.

I thought I would commnet since you like those ( I totally know the feeling though and enjoy getting commnets too). Anh certainly knows how to model an outfit and I think you look just as fabulous in your new cape. This outfit looks comfortable, but still chic. I love the leopard sunnies!!I’ve been on the hunt for a cape too and have my eye on one at J. Crew, although I would certainly save some pennies with this H&M find.
