ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Mint Chocolate Chip
It’s impossible to stay on a healthy diet at my job. One day, we’re getting cupcakes, then next margaritas, and today the most delicious ice cream sandwiches from Coolhaus. USA is giving away free sweet treats to generate buzz as an Emmy push. Today, the gourmet truck was parked outside our office (the rest of the week, it will be traveling to these locations). Considering I was wearing polka dots, I kept with the theme by choosing The White Collar (mint chocolate chip ice cream) with chocolate chip cookies. It was a scrumptious decision.

Like Rihanna, I wanted to show that it’s fun to mix polka dots with other prints. In April I mixed dots with more dots. But today, I switched things up with stripes and one of my favorite pairs of sandals. I call them my Kalinka shoes (Kalinka means ladybug in Russian). Red lips—though disastrous with the melting ice cream—brought out the cute, embellished insects at my feet.
