September is a tricky month. Summer comes to an end… but the warm weather remains. You want to wear fall’s trends… but you’d overheat in a camel coat. Plus, there’s the fashion week, which means you need to look on top of your game… but still be comfortable enough to run around the city. To solve this month’s fashion dilemma, I went for staples that a) would pack easily, b) could be paired with warm weather or cold weather essentials and c) picked up on some of the trends for fall in a subtle way.

Here’s the breakdown of the 6 Fashion Staples I’ll be wearing at least 6 Different times for the next 30 days:

1.  Drop Earrings (lia sophia)
I’m not really an earrings person but when I saw these on my friend I had to have them. They have an heirloom quality and can be worn day or night. I plan on using them to dress up some of my outfits during fashion week.

2. Lace Jacket (vintage)
This was one of my finds at Shareen Vintage. Lace has been on trend for a while now and is continuing into fall. It’s lightweight enough to wear on a warm night, and can be paired later with sweaters and turtlenecks.

3. Black Ring (lia sophia)
I loved my white statement ring so much last month that I decided to do a more seasonal version of it.

4. White Tee (Forever 21)
This shirt is one of Forever 21’s Fab Finds. I own about 20 and wear them with everything from jeans to pencil skirt. The v-neck elongates my smaller frame and I love using the simple top as a backdrop to show off my statement necklaces.

5. Bandage Skirt (Armani Exchange)
I got this skirt at a shoot I did for Mystyle.com. Of course, bandage is not a new trend, but thanks to the way it sucks your body in, it’s a trend that’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Hervé Léger is a bit out of my price range but luckily so many retailer now offer affordable alternatives.

6. Purple Booties (Steve Madden Viciious Booties)
