It’s rare to have a Sunday Funday with friends these days. But with my birthday coming up, my San Diego bestie made it happen. Her hubby babysat, and we had a day to ourselves. 💛

We went to the mall for matching friendship bracelets (more on that soon) and enjoyed kid-free sips and snacks. She’s going to Paris this weekend so I guess I had French girl vibes in my mind when picking out what to wear: stripes, denim, loafers, and a red lip (which I rarely do these days as a mom!). As for the sleek braid… let’s just say I’m very overdue for a haircut 🙈

💄 Beauty tip: To make my red lip last longer, I fill in my lips completely with liner before applying lipstick and gloss.

💛 Classic Prep I draped the cardigan over my shoulders for a preppy, effortless vibe. I’ve been doing this for years to add polish to my looks, but this Spring, preppy style is actually a big trend.

💛 Skirting It One of my favorite styling tricks? Turning a dress into a skirt with a sweater! By layering the shell on top and cinching my waist with a thick belt, I created the illusion of separates. A thicker belt really helps define the waist and pull the look together.

📝 Bonus Style Tip: You don’t need heels to lengthen the legs. Skin-tone ballet flats do the trick for an understated, elongated look.

Casual classic with jeans, a cashmere sweater, and comfy flats. Oh, and a cream faux leather jacket the bf reminded me to bring before we left the house (I’m always cold!).

2. Errands + Pilates
Bodysuit and grip socks layered up with a trench, denim shirt and rain boots for a busy day on the go.

3. Court
Understated and put together without looking like I’m trying too hard in a neutral sweater and wide legs pants… plus blue glasses to remind me not to roll my eyes at the person making me be there 🙈.
