I hated turtlenecks as a kid. They made me feel claustrophobic. But as I grew older, I discovered that turtlenecks magically give the illusion of a long, graceful, swan-like neck—especially when your hair is in an updo.
Hussein Chayalan’s bright skintight leather turtlenecks were too fembot for my taste but I loved all the others shown in Paris. I especially liked the way Nina Ricci accessorized turtlenecks with matching statement necklaces.
