A couple of years ago, I had an intern show up for work with electric blue fringe peeking out under her jet-black hair. The Jordin Sparks look certainly isn’t my cup of tea, but my intern was in college—and an aspiring pop star.

But recently, I’ve been noticing many employees in high positions, mind you, with pink, red and even blue streaks. If you want colorful locks, clip some on outside the office to evoke your inner rock star. Forgive me if I sound narrow-minded. I just don’t think Starlite strands work in the corporate world.
