I had to cancel my July 4th weekend trip last minute, leaving me without plans to celebrate Independence Day. Since I already picked out an outfit, I decided to throw a pre-Fourth of July fiesta. I just sent out invitations today to my Patriotic Potluck Party. I asked guests to bring something to drink or eat that is red, white or blue. I’ll be serving red and white wine and blue cupcakes that I plan on making using food coloring. If I have time, I’ll pick up some flag toothpicks and stick them in the cheese plate. This red, white and blue theme is a quick and easy way to throw an All-American soiree.

Fabulous idea, why waste a good outfit just because your plans get changed? I love the idea of eating/drinking something red, white and blue. Over here they do this horrible blue drink called WKD I’m sure if I did something similar I’d see a bottle or two of it!
