My clear obsession du jour? PVC umbrellas. I wanted one when I saw Scarlett Johansson carrying hers around Tokyo in Lost in Translation—transparent umbrellas are huge in Japan. I forgot about it until recently when Lauren Conrad shielded her long blonde locks from the New York rain with a clear umbrella and Emma Watson used one to keep dry at the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in London. After spending a year in London, I’m not exactly one who likes walking around in the rain. But these clear umbrellas might make the dreary weather at least a little bit more enjoyable.
