I know it’s cold on the east coast, and I certainly feel for my friends in Philly, Boston and New York. But in Los Angeles, it is HOT. So I’ve gone back into my summer wardrobe to look for clothing that doesn’t seem totally out of place for fall. American Apparel’s Poplin Cross-Front Dress ($36) doesn’t scream July but the thin material keeps me cool. When I wore Look #1, I used Bristol 6’s styling tape to secure the front so I didn’t have to worry about my bra showing at the office.

Beautiful pumps, very classic. You can’t go wrong with either. Do you have black pumps? I think every woman needs a pair. But if you already have something similar, the porcini is a great choice, too. Taupe goes with just about everything.
