ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Tennessee Time!
Today, I headed down south to visit my parents in Memphis. Aside from New Orleans and Miami, which doesn’t really count, I have never been to the South. In my head, I pictured southern belles primped to perfection. But I was told not to bring anything too fancy. For dinner I dressed up a pair of jeans with a feminine cardigan and glitter flats. I pinned a brooch to my cami underneath so I didn’t tear the tulle on the sweater.

We ate at Owen Brennan’s and all I have to say is it was a good thing I chose not to wear skinny jeans! After oysters, red beans and rice, Caesar salad, fish, fresh crab, bread and wine I thought I was going to burst. It was a warm, filling welcome to the South.
