ttF Fashion Diary: Secret Garden

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Secret Garden
Something about this outfit reminds me of The Secret Garden. Maybe it’s the Victorian style lace or the childlike socks with sandals or my grandmother’s pearls… or probably the combination of all three. When I put it together I looked at myself in the mirror and wasn’t too sure about the combo. But as the day went out I started to really like my outfit. Who knew I would have been such a fan of the socks with sandals trend?!

Plus, wearing my scarf as a belt turned out to be incredibly handy. This morning I went for a bra fitting at the newly opened Intimacy boutique in Century City. If you get fittedβ€”and I highly recommend itβ€”a dress is not a good choice. Luckily, I was able to transform my scarf into a sarong so I wasn’t completely undressed as I learned that I was a totally different bra size then I have been wearing. The wonderful thing about an upscale lingerie boutique like Intimacy is they alter the bras for you. You can go up a cup size then get the band taken in at no charge. Yes, the bras are a near fortune but the difference a good fit makes is astonishing. Plus, they will alter the bras when they stretch, which even the best lingerie tends to do. So I looked at my gigantic purchase this morning as a style investment.

    Hi Sydne,
I think your outfit is summery and fabulous. Not eveyone could get away with the scarf around the waist and the sock/sandal combination. But it looks good on you.
I espcially like the pearl necklace, because I love pearls (I’m sure you have guessed that by now). I hadn’t thought of combining them with brass. It looks good. Personally I also like pearls and diamonds together πŸ™‚

    Thanks for sharing.
