ttF Fashion Staple: Black Bustier
Following the success of their Halloween bash, two of my best friends wanted to host a holiday party. One is Jewish and the other is Christian. Thus, the first annual Chrismukkah party was born. I contributed with the dress code (insisting it was a semi-formal) and decor. We wanted to keep the budget small so I worked with what we had: Poinsettia leaves that had fallen to the floor looked oh so pretty in white vases. And branches became wall art with a few ornaments and gold earrings and bangles.
After setting up I ran home to change. My mom gave me her old velvet skirt ages ago. I honestly forgot about it until everyone in Hollywood walked the red carpet with thigh-high slits this month. I wore moderate heels to remain comfortable throughout the party and pulled my hair into a messy ponytail to show off my bold necklace I wore over the summer. The party was a success. Now I can’t wait to decorate my own tree!
