The holidays are all about giving. So I’ve joined up with Oxfam America to give away a high fashion sheep in the name of one ThinkThruFashion reader.
By filling out the contest above, you can enter to have a sheep donated in your name. The furry animal lets women create their own income by provide the wool for local textiles. How chic is that?
Oxfam’s gifts save lives. They bring farm animals to impoverished communities to promote sustainability. They give school uniforms to children who have nothing. They provide water jugs to people who have to walk miles to hydrate. Basically, when there is a need, Oxfam helps fill it.
So how does this tie into fashion? Well, I could say there is nothing more fashionable than helping others. And this couldn’t be more true. But this year, Oxfam has teamed up with a mock celebrity fashion designer, The Hidalgo (played by comedian Chris Wylde), to promote The OxFam Collection. It’s a spoof fashion campaign showcasing the different animals that donors can send to those in need across the world.
With the click of a button, you can help lives through fashion. It’s the best holiday gift of all.
