ttF Fashion Staple: Black Rose
With 20 years of experience in the fashion industry it’s no wonder that Us Weekly Fashion Director Sasha Carnin Morrison came out with a such a successful style guide. To toast her new tome, Secrets of Stylists, LA’s fashion elite mingled at the Coach store on Rodeo Drive. Many of my friends, including Kristen Turner and Lindsay Albanese, shared their tips in the book and it was a blast catching up with old—and new—friends.
As for what I wore, I used my own style secrets. Having barely any time to get ready, I did my fave one-minute hair trick: pull your hair into a ponytail and wrap one strand around the elastic, securing with a bobby pin. Then I swiped on trendy hot pink lipstick instead of a full face of makeup. Speaking of trendy, I’m so thrilled pointy pumps are back. They’re a classy way to lengthen your legs when wearing nighttime shorts. I just picked up these new floral bottoms at a Saks sale. I can’t wait to wear them all summer long.
