ttF Scene: Beauty CULTure Opening Night

For me, beauty is color. So I chose my fave color, yellow, to wear to the opening of Beauty CULTure at the Annenberg Space for Photography. And I wasn’t the only one: Halle Berry made her vintage Roberto Cavalli suit pop with splashes of yellow. And Sophia Bush took a fashion risk that paid off in a Z Spoke by Zac Posen plaid dress dress.

Sophia’s fashion icon, Alex Wek, went the printed route. As did fellow model Petra Nemcova and Emmy Rossum in Monique Lhuillier.

Of course, there was plenty of black at the event as well. But it was anything but boring thanks to standout accessories: Jenny McCarthy‘s armor belt, Gisele Bundchen‘s Isabel Marant heels and Jena Malone‘s textured tights.

The photography exhibit was just as spectacular as the evening’s attendees. It explored feminine beauty with over 100 photos. There was a wall of supermodels, each more beautiful than the next. Around the corner, there were disturbing images of cosmetic surgeries and the great lengths women will go to look “beautiful.” While you may not get to look at the exhibit alongside Katie Holmes, Dita von Teese and Daryl Hannah (who were also at the event) it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in Los Angeles between now and November 27. Plus, it’s free! Isn’t life beautiful?
